Like a cat, this artist (always a craftswoman) has lived several lives, pursued varied interests, raised a family and even hit the wall a time or two. It is via these chapters that Maja evolved into a contemporary jewelry designer and a professional artist.

Descended from a family rich in artistic talent, Maja is both preceded and accompanied by inspirational people. Self-taught and curious she has developed techniques and a style that serve her well in the highly competitive world of modern art jewelry. 

A long fascination with architecture and design strongly influences Maja's jewelry. Hand fabricated in sterling with other elements (from precious to mundane), her jewelry designs incorporate unique shapes, hollow-forms, textures and colors in constructions that are clean, contemporary, edgy and unique.

Life and its lessons provide an ever-abundant source for ideas and possibilities. To be fully alive an artist must be open, curious, courageous, and must reinvent herself always. Maja finds this both daunting and exhilarating.
